Is there a way to make the tension on it less or make it more sensitive? I have to press it 1/2 way down to keep it at speed. I want to half the pressure required to make the car go. Either press 1/2 as far or 50% lighter to push.

sensor at the top to detect the pedal position. There's no way to adjust it's range/sensitivity (other than a throttle body adaptation, which checks the range of the throttle itself, not the pedal).

the car can detect if the sensor is failing, so I'm not sure what could be wrong with it (it's redundant, and so it can tell if the two readings don't match and go into a limp mode).
