Default Put at least 91 in your car. You're saving all of $10 a month on gas by putting in lesser octane.

Not worth it imo.

good point. especially since its better for the engine, which cost a hell of a lot to fix.

Default I'm sure it runs okay, but there's gotta be a reason for Audi to recommend min. 91 oct. right?

The savings are just not really worth it.

Default You will get better milaege and performance with the correct grade fuel, here is why

The "sophisticated electronics" or knock sensor is preventing your car from pinging on the lower octane fuel. It does this by retarding your timing slightly. This lowers your performance so you may be saving a few cents at the pump but overall it is'nt saving you anything at all ( IMO). Over the long term you can cause some damage but mainly its performance.

Default You have a Thermal exhaust so I take it you're into performance mods...

Why deprive your car of performance by putting in 87 and spending all that money on an aftermarket exhaust?

Default premium gas is 93 here and it's at most $.20 more than regular... we're talking about $3.00 here

at every fillup... i need gas once a week... so we're talking about saving $12.00 a month... i would say cut costs somewhere else
