Default Gasoline connoisseurs: Is BP gas any good?

Second question: Does Amoco own BP? Because I pulled into a BP station but the pumps said Amoco on them.

Default Someone did a gas dyno a while back in the b6 forum, I think

and mobil 1 made more hp than BP or Chevron (or Phillips, I forgot). The bottom two were about equal, but mobil 1 had about a 5-10 hp lead on a 1.8t chipped, I think.

Default I honestly don't care as long as it's 93

I used to be selective where I fuel up. I still mostly fuel up at BP, but also will stop at a local grocery store (Meijer), Costco, or Sams Club. I usually don't fill up at the nasty gas stations. I honestly have never had a problem and can't tell the difference. I generally go where it's cheapest to a point.

Honestly do you notice any problems with cheaper gas? I don't.

Default I think BP is good. I've been switching between BP and Shell's Vpower and

it seems like my car runs a little smoother with BP. It seems to idle smoother. I would get this slightly rough idle at about 800 rpms. Its not really there with the BP.

Default none. few here have made the case of impurities at some cheap gas places but I go to Costco and some

branded but generic gas stations and I notice no real differences. car still runs great and i am getting the same mileage. and i've been doing this for almost 2 years.

i save a bit too on gas bills. some cash back on the costco card helps too .
