Based on the series of steps you have taken to diagnose the problem, I will take a wild guess and say that the culprit is one or a few of your fuel injectors.

The 'READINESS' issue has to do with you clearing the DTC under engine 01 it will take about 200 miles prior to the vehicle completing adaptation on its own, adaptation can be forced by following a series of routines using the VAG but it's not necessary the ECU will complete it and if you check back later in a day without clearing the memory it will show that everything says passed unless of course there is something actually wrong with your vehicle.

Good luck

Default i will run some stock logs tomorrow...

i am at elevation, so i am not exactly sure what the correction for 'chipped' should be...but if my MAF was on the way out, i would think it should be considerably lower.

not out of the woods yet. will log with new plugs and switch the injectors.

Default thanks dave, is there a way to check the injectors

using VAG?

if this fails, i guess the last step would be to get a new set of injectors and see if that solves the problems...hopefully i can get them.

again, thanks for your help i have been chasing this problem for 2 weeks...seriously.

Default Do you mean + or - for those #'s.

If there is no - mark before it then the car is running lean. Could mean that the tuning is off at wot or the fact that you have a leak somewhere between the turbo and maf sensor.

You will want to do a log of 003 and 031 to see what your 02 readings are at during wot.

Default The easiest thing would be to switch the injector in cyl 1 with lets say cyl 3...

and log block 015 & 016 to see which cylinders are misfiring if now you see cyl 3 is misfiring then you will know it's the injector.
