Man these foglights block a lot of air to the intercoolers. I still need to fabricate some type of beauty molding to make it look perfect, but for now it doesnt look horrible. Im thinking of covering up the screws with black tape until I can fabricate something from the stock foglight grilles. I also need to short out the foglight wires so I dont keep getting warnings from the diagnostic computer. Funny, the B5 would never let me know I had a foglight out. Cheers! Mike

Just fighting the heat soak battle. I'll be making a trip to the audi parts dept. this week to find some wiring that will snap into the existing harness and allow me to play with it. We'll see. Cheers! Mike

I never really thought of something like this. Maybe I will remove mine when I get a new front. Instead of using grills to hold the lights I could also just get some mesh.
I would also like to either get custom (or find) some nicer ducts that route as much air as possible over the SMICs and figure out how to get ride of the hot air after it passes through the IC.
Nice work! I have respect for stuff even as simple as that.

The fender liners. You used to be able to purchase vented fender liners for the B5 cars because they came on the S4. They were only like $29 too. It was a great cheap mod, but since the B6 S4 is not twin turbocharged, we get no vented liners. It should be pretty damn easy to do ourselves though. Maybe i'll do it today. Cheers! Mike

Fender liners would help quite a bit though. It seems that right now the air just finds a way out, there is no real path. I guess this is another advantage of FMIC or dual SMICs, the air has an easier way to escape.

On the road (or more importantly the track). Ive seen one kit, but it looks like a bitch to install and it's damn expensive. I bet it's worth it, though. Cheers! Mike

I thought this was a good possibility before but now I am hearing about a "highly-tuned 4.2L v8 w/ FSI" making 420 hp, so I'm not holding my breath.
