Very nice, I think you'll enjoy the upgraded brakes as I did. Just need to paint mine

Default Yeah, that's true, the additonal weight won't be noticed by most.

I want cast aluminum HP2 calipers instead! :&gt

Default i've got HP2's on my 3.0. i think the braking has improved, but...

i don't know if this is due to the better brake pads over stock, or whether the calipers are better. as for the rotors, i got the ECS slotted/drilled, which look cool but are noisy and vibrate when braking. Also because of the heavier setup it feels like the steering response has suffered...feels kinda floaty compared to stock. However, it's not so bad once the H-sport sway bars were installed.

Default It felt like the rear "half" of the calipers which contained the pistons was an Alu mix

and the outer frame, carrier and floater were cast iron. I could be wrong. You could see and feel the metal was different.

My biggest weight gain will be from the damn huge rotors.

Default INSTALLED** Good thing my mechanic had some 8mm spacers and bolts I could borrow

or the wheels wouldn't have fit over them. My bad for not physically checking first. But, I did goto the Hartmann site and did see people with these Nuvo's and BBK's. So I thought it would be ok.

Damn glad he had those 8's.

I don't want to stay on the spacers, so it's time to rim shop. I'm thinking the hartmann DTM bimoto reps in 18 with the et38. Does anyone know if those will clear. I'll have to give them a call to be sure. They used to have a column that said HP2 compatibility.

The Optima went in now problem. He did a full brake fluid flush. Said the old stuff was pretty brown. He also changed the fluid in the rear diff and said that was really bad looking. Glad I got it changed.
