Getting steering rack replaced, New Country Sucks
Yet another rant about dealer service experience thus far on my 5 month old baby... She is currently in Day 5 of her two-part service episode over the last 8 days or so. After telling me last week that the steering wheel groan was non-existent and the mirror drift was just in my head, I brought it back to them. They had it all day yesterday. I call the guy today, after he DOESN'T call ME, and he says they once again can't find either problem. I say I'm coming down there to show the bastards the problems myself (should have done this a long time ago). He says OK, I'll call you when the service tech gets back from lunch...never calls back. Two hours later, I jump in the car and drive down there with the intent of informing the gentleman that he is to stop working on the car, lock the keys in it, and I'll pick it up later tonight. After saying "I was just going to call you" he sits me down and tells me that all of a sudden they did hear the steering wheel groan, and they have ordered a whole new steering rack for the car to be installed tomorrow ("7 hour install"!). The mirror problem will be ignored (i don't even care anymore). All in all my car is finally getting fixed, for something that could have been fixed 4 days ago, but this is my last service experience with New Country.

i went to fairfeild audi after new country
New Country has the worst service ever. maybe its because they think they are better then every other dealer since they are in greenwich. god i hate that service dptmnt.

Fairfield Audi probably has the best service in Western CT...
Chris, the shop foreman is a really cool guy, he used to build Audi and VW rally cars. He'll gladly hop in your car and go for a ride to find ou the problem.

Many 3.0s have low speed steering groan and it's considered normal.
Do you really want to have them tear your car apart and maybe have the same groan with additional problems when they don't put it back together properly?
