Default GIAC FX users with NGK BKR7E plugs, what gap are you running? ...

I just bought BKR7E plugs and will replace my BKR6Es. I know it sounds kinda trivial, but are you gapped at .028 or .032?

I understand regap .004 for every 50 hp. How about meeting in the middle and gapping at .030?

I heard/read 0.032 to 0.028 so I went 0.030 (right in the middle) myself.
From what I can understand, if you get misfires from the increased boost blowing off the spark, you can go a bit tighter on the gap.

Default Just did a Google search...

and an article said anywhere between .028-.034 is fine; however, the million dollar question is, what is the *optimal* gap?

most of the other articles i found were gapped at .030. these articles, however, were for the b5 s4.

Optimal probably depends on a million factors!!! I can tell you that with 0.030 didn't give me any misfires yet (remember though, I still have the old FX version, if that makes a difference)

Default I run at .032". The OEM gap is .028" - this is because...

...as time goes on, and the original plugs start to see high milage, the gap expands. So essentially, the OEM spec is to under-gap the plugs to make the plugs last longer.
