Default GIAC FXKO3

Just picked up my 2003 A4 1.8t today from FIXX Tuning in Pinellas Park Florida this morning. Took it in yesterday and had the chip and injectors installed, but broke a one way valve in the induction system by the fuel rail the first time I stepped on the gas. Ended up having to go pick one up from a dealer in town and take it to get installed this morning.
The car feels absolutely like a different machine. It pulls VERY hard from about 2500 to 5500 but then of course dies off pretty hard. It is now a much more satisfying street car to drive as the power delivery now feels much more natural and eager. I have however noticed a hint of what could be pinging in the 3-4k range in 2nd gear. It is quite faint and never in the upper RPM range of the motor. Has anybody had similar experiences with knock???
I would highly recommend the guys over at FIXX Tuning and will likely use them in the future not only for upgrades, but for services and maintenance as well.

Yes, log timing with vag com (channel 20) and have GIAC drop your timing.

Default Knock Sensor

Why is my knock sensor not picking it up and dropping the timing back...or is it. Could that be why the power feels soft on top?
Thanks again.

Default It is, but if the timing is too far advanced than that's what you get...

and yeah, i suppose it could feel a little soft on top if it is retarding timing like that. Check out this thread for more info...

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2265766</a

ECU is probably pulling 9+ deg of timing. Log block 20 as Mike said.
