Got my 2003 A4 Avant back from its 10,000 mile service at Champion Audi yesterday and noticed that the glovebox door does not open slowyly anymore. It just flops open like a cheap car. I "searched" on AudiWorld and saw the link below. Encouraged, a coworker and I went out to the car, popped the side plastic cover off. We noticed that there was a small pin missing from the damping mechanism. Looked on the floor of the car and saw the black plastic pin. Put the pin between the holes, and viola! glovebox works again!
