Goin to pepboys to buy wax etc. Any ideas wat to get for removal of swurls/scratchs & to do

This stuffs just a glaze and just fills in scratches, it doesnt last long but is a good temp fix
you want to use a light polish depending on how severe your swirls marks are...try 3m swirl mark remover, or p21s paint conditioner which is a little less "harsh", also menzerna works real well...problem is you wont get any of this at pepboys i dont think, maybe the 3M, find it all online

Generally, you need something with a mild abrasive in it. Menzerna polish seems to be a favorite
over on the detailing forum. Also, 3M makes a couple of products. A lot of people use 3M Imperial Hand Glaze (IHG), but from what I hear, that only fills in the swirl marks, it doesn't permanently remove them. Swirls are in effect light scratches in your clearcoat. To "remove" them, you are actually taking off a level of your clearcoat and making everything "level" so to speak.
