Default this is the one I've gotten before

16795: Secondary Air Injection System: Incorrect FLow Detected

For this you should check around the back of the cylinder head. There is a small cylinder shaped valve that has some small lines that connect the airpump and the intake manifold. Some of these small hose develop cracks around the connection points. This is probably the cause of the incorrect flow code.

Change hoses if leaking and clear codes, then watch to see if the light returns, if not then you've solved the problem.

Default Question about secondary air injection system

Ok so I changed out my spark plus yesterday only to find out that I had to remove my intake and losen up the resevoir tank to get to some of the plugs. I am using Bosch Platinum +4 plugs on my 98 A4 2.8 Quattro Tip Engine. My check engine light came on after I was done installing the plugs. I scanned the errors and got P0411 Secondary Air Injection Incorrect Flow. I checked around my intake to see if any cables had come loose and the hoses also. I cleared out the error code but when I am driving, my car is sluggish now. It's not driving like it was before. When I would floor it it would pick up a lot faster than it is now. It lags for about a second or two and then it begins to gradually climb up. Before I could feel to power and the car would take off a lot faster. My question is...if there is something wrong with my secondary air injection, could this be why my car is sluggish? I really want my car back to how it was...I hate not having the acceleration I had before. Please help!

Default Re: Question about secondary air injection system

I'm not sure what your problem is. You shouldn't feel that much difference with the secondary air injection cel. It sounds like you have a larger leak some where. But you're not turboed correct? Try the guys on the B5 forum, perhaps there are some 2.8 guys that have had similar problems.
