Default is this a good price for an 02 1.8TQ?

black/ebony 02
sport pkg
xenons
sunroof
heated seats
bose
tiptronic

sticker says $31,120.. dealer said i could have it for $30,740. this is in new jersey.. is this a decent price? the car just came off the truck this morning and i was the first to see it.. they dont even have the paperwork prepared for it as of yet. dealer claims that this combo is very much sought after, and that he could easily push this car for msrp, is this true? ive been out of the audi scene for quite some time now, and i need some help.
thanks!

Default looks a little high

Most here seem to advocate trying to strike a deal based on "x% over invoice"

You can get the invoice numbers for your car+options at edmunds.com

3-6% over invoice seems about normal depending on where you live - somewhere between MSRP and invoice.

Default Something isn't right...

I think you might have mis-typed the MSRP. I just priced out your car on audiusa.com and it's 32,210. If that's the case, then 30,740 is a pretty good deal. I thought that 31,210 seemed cheap since my car has less stuff than yours and listed for 31,750.

Default Your number's don't add up...

MSRP on the described car is $32,120, invoice would be 29,253. That would be %5.1 over invoice, or just under 1500 over invoice which is a fantastic price, after prep it's a profit of ~$1200 and that's a price you'll only get in the NY metro dealer where there are 6 dealers within 30 minutes of one another. If that's the car you want, from the dealer you want to do business with (SERVICE WITH) go buy the car.

Good luck.

You did extremely well, that's why Ed and I scoff at ppl's claims of 3% over, it just doesn't happen
