Default Got in an accident in the A4 on Christmas Day. [sorta long]

Going up the fast lane of 405 to my parents' house (in Thousand Oaks) on Christmas morning in my 03 Avant and in light rain. Some guy in a Toyota pickup slides across 2-3 lanes over and smashed into the rear right wheel of my car and spun me around so that I ended up perpendicular to the center divider. Thank God my wife and I were unhurt because we were travelling at freeway speeds and no other car smashed into us. Anyway, the right rear wheel & wheel well were smashed in as well as both passenger side doors and the lower portion of the frame around the rear door, but no airbags deployed. I'm bummed--it only has 5025 miles on it and it was in mint condition. oh yeah, the bastard that hit me gave me his insurance card, which had expired in July! I'm praying that they total my car, in which case I'll end up getting an 04 avant...Going on a snowboard trip to Utah later today, had to rent an SUV (Mitsubishi Montero), which was a nightmare in and of itself. hopefully 2004 will be a better year!

Default If the frame is bent, and there's damage to the drivetrain (m)

or any of the quattro mechanisms, that runs big $$$, you might have a chance at it getting totalled. Good to hear you're okay... that's the most important thing.

Default Just got back from UT. Stayed in SLC and rode Snowbird, Brighton and Park City.

Hit up LV before SLC and a fun time was had by all. It was snowing pretty much the entire time we were up there and people were saying it was the most December snow they'd received in 20 years. In fact, there was almost too much powder on the mountains.
