Got APR Stage 1+, and a rumble...

Just got my A4 upgraded to APR Stage 1+, love it so far! So much more power than before. Anyway, after leaving the shop, I was driving around 55-60 in 5th gear when I gave it some gas to feel it pull, and when I did, I got this weird "rumble" sound that seemed to coincide with the boost/torque coming on. It stopped as soon as I let off a bit, and in a few more tests, it happened intermittently when pushing it in 5th gear.
Later on, on the highway, I punched it (doing closer to 80, ~4000 RPM) and didn't get the rumble.
In searching the forums, I've found everything from clutch chattering to motor mounts to bad plugs/coilpacks to wheel bearings to tires as being possible causes. I thought maybe the DV was getting overwhelmed by the higher boost (I installed a 710N a couple weeks ago) and opening intermittently, causing the rumble.
Any thoughts? Is it clutch chatter? Could it be the DV? My car has almost 30K on it, the clutch works fine otherwise. I didn't notice the RPM increasing when I had the rumble.
I posted this same thing on Audizine, and some people said it is the stock clutch, then someone with a Southbend OFE SS & K04 reported they get the rumble as well. But another upgraded their clutch and the rumble went away.
Any ideas?

APR stage 1+ and now it seems to be hesitating and running a little rough. not as bad as a dead coilpack should feel, but rougher than usual.

Besides, I know what lugging sounds like. I still get acceleration/torque, and lots of it, which wouldn't be the case if it was lugging. Also, lugging decreases as RPM increases, but this rumble is pretty consistent, it's either there or it isn't. Also, wouldn't the same thing happen without being chipped?
Also, I don't have to FLOOR it to experience the rumble. Just giving it some gas in 5th around 2500 RPM does the trick. When the boost comes in (stronger than stock boost) I get the rumble mainly until 3000 RPM, but I can get it a little bit above 3000 if I really push it.
Sounds like the clutch is the most likely culprit at this point. What's interesting though is the RPM doesn't increase like the clutch is slipping, and the car doesn't shake like I would expect it to if the clutch were chattering under torque.
Could the wastegate or N75 cause something like this?
