Re: Don't agree on the handling...
"...A4 exhibits too much initial body roll, although once you get beyond that point, it seems to hold really well..."
That's exactly what the folks at R&T said in this month's issue while comparing the A4's handling to the 330i's. The A4 exhibits more body roll, but surprisingly keeps on sticking. As far as feeling a "lower level of stickyness" with the 325ci, it may be an illusion based on your expectations. When the A4 pitches to one side, you expect it to lose it's grip; yet it sticks. By comparison, the comparitive lack of body roll with the BMW leads you to expect that it will hang on longer than it does. Just my $0.02.

Re: Don't agree on the handling...
Actually, I'm comparing the level of stickiness by driving the same roads, but being able to carry higher speeds through the turn with my A4 before I feel either car starting to lose grip. My A4 went through the long sweeper about 5 mph faster through the turn, at least that's what I noticed...

Well done! What motivated your move from A6 to A4?
For me, the enormous cost of leasing and operating the 4.2 just wasn't worth it any more. The A4 is an awful lot of car for the $$. I have the sport susp., too, and I agree with your ride quality comments. BMW seems to have the ride/handling compromise sorted out a bit better. I'll take the Audi any day, though.
