Default I find them more accurate below ~52F (10C)

In the summer in the 27C-35C range it would be off about 2.5C consistently.

But since it got cooler out I am in within 0.5C.

You must live some place fairly warm to have only just got your first snow flake.

Ottawa, Canada today high is -2C (~29F)
Currently -6C.

Default I'm in Atlanta, Ga. It was 78 yesterday, it was 37 F º this morning

Maybe it's the ambient heat from the engine when it's warm... Less of an effect when it's cool.

Default It seems to vary about +/- 5 degrees. Mostly due to where the sensors are located.

It does tend to be more accurate when it get's colder outside.
