got my vag com today....
I figured out how to check for fault codes, but other than that it seems Im not allowed to do anything because it says im not registered. I got the series 2 tool from obdtool.com I bought the tool for fog light only mod, roll windows down with key, and to check requested vs. actual boost pressure. Of those I cannot figure out how to do any. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

that is the reason i ordered the whole kit from Ross Tech. I bought the hexcom.
but i am waiting on a new cable right now as my Bernese Mtn Dog puppy decided she wanted to chew the OBD2 end of the cable. :-(

ya, you can do recodes with older versions of vag-com and read boost levels but you
won't be able to log anything. You can read and clear faults but you won't be able to decode the fault codes automatically.
