Default Got Rear-Ended yesterday...(more)

Lucky, only damage is little imprints from her licences plate screws. One broke the paint, the other didn't. Does anyone have any idea what it could possibly cost to fix? Has this happened to anyone? Audi makes a damn good bumber.

I think i screwed myself though, i didn't wait for the police to file a report, just exchanged information. She is not legally binding to fix my car now, so i am hopeing that the damage is pretty cheap to fix so she would just cut me a check. Think i should get my insurance involved?Anyone know a good body shop in Northern NJ?

Default How hard was it? Sometimes you can't see the real damage, the inner bumper could be messed up.

Take it to a good shop now and get an estimate and then call her to see what she says. If she gives you a hard time, call the insurance company.

I got rear ended. It left 2 huge gashes on the lower part (non-painted part) of the bumper. Total cost $1100. They had to replace the whole bumper, paint it, and replace the bumper shock absorber. You should have the bumper shock absorber replaced as a precautionary measure because there is a good chance that it may fail if you get rear ended again. And if that happens you may wind up with a damage frame.

Default C&D Autobody in South Hackensack, NJ. I just had my hood & roof painted there.

They did a fantastic job. They are also a very busy shop. Not the cheapest prices but not the most expensive either. I am 100% satisfied with the work they did to my car. The paint matches perfectly. Very good customer service as well.
Matt is a very cool/nice/upfront guy.

It was about $560 for me to have the bumper cover smoothed and repainted. Fortunately the lady who hit me stuck around and gave me her insurance info when I got back (my car was parked in a parking lot).
