Had headlights out (xenon) and now they error out...

Had headlights out (xenon) and now they error out...
any ideas? I had both out, and when I put them back they don't level and give an error on the dash. (they don't even try to level). They do come on though.

While the headlightls where reimoved, was the ignition turned on?
Are the servo motors inside the housings connected to the wiring connectors inside the housings? Do you have a VAG-COM?

you have to reset the "home" position for the levelers
you should also have the light's re-aimed. If the alignments are fine then you can just reset the home position with a Vag-Com<ul><li><a href="http://www.a4mods.com/index.php?page=webcontent/pages/autolevel.html">read this</a></li></ul>

Thanks for the feedback.. Yes, the ignition was on with the lights out...
While I turned over the engine to pre-oil it after my BT install....
PS, my vag-com kept losing connection with the car after about 1 min when I was trying to log it.. Can't figure that out...
