Default live dear comming from the left side trees while running at 80 mph from buffalo to ny

dear ricocheted off my left front bumper/fender and back into the woods. broke the headlamp and dented the fender causing the windshield washer reservoir to break.

luckily it was a pontiac sunfire rented from avis. they gave me a grand am an hour later...great customer service.

Default Happened to me once

When I had my B5 I was returning home from having the car serviced. I'm in the middle lane of a three lane tollway, and I spot an aluminum ladder in the left lane about a 1/4 mile ahead. I start to slow down and prepare to get in the right lane. Right lane is clear and I move over, but folks behind me have no clue what is going on and they run up on my rear and start honking their horns. Then they finally spot the ladder as others start to swerve and slow, except for the mini van taxi that speeds right over top of the ladder at 60+ MPH!!! The ladder flies up in the air about window high and falls to the ground as I safely (for me) pass to the right of it. Unbelievably the taxi never stops or slows, and there are several passengers on board!

Default had one make a hole in my rear lower trim and another in my right rear quater panel...

both instances were the other drivers' faults. they need to take that hitch and shove it up their @sses...

Default 8 foot long 2x4 only the truck in front of me launched it airborne...

Juked over and it speared the passenger side windshield. Pulled over and just stared at the damn thing. Got out of the car, leaned over the rail, and heaved.

Default Hit one of those large chains from a tow truck, in a huge pile, at 80+ mph...

Couldn't avoid it. It was at night. As I was approaching a truck, I went to pass on the right and as soon as I was halfway into the lane (centered on the dashed line) this huge mound of heavy duty chain was just sitting there on the dashed line. There was no time to turn (which may have been worse because a tire would have struck it and might have made me lose control), so I braced for impact and hit it straight on, hoping to go over it. Problem was, my VW was so low and I also had a lower front tie bar. When it hit, it sounded like I just smashed into a wall. Took it to my dealer the next day to check it out. Most of the impact was absorbed by the tie bar. It was bent, chunks of it were gone (like teeth marks). The undercarriage plastic piece was also broken, along with some other engine and suspension parts beaten up a little. Thing was, if the tie bar wasn't there, it would have been the oil pan.
