Default Happy ending to my eBay.de hassle and some help needed (long)

Well, I thought I had been taken by a guy from eBay.de. Well, to cut the whole story short, the headlights did appear at my friend's door 10 days ago, a month too late. I don't know whether he meant to send them in the first place or my threats (legal and otherwise, and I was serious) worked. The seller hasn't answered a sigle e-mail from the day he got the cash so I guess I'll never know. Many thanks to Andy in Ingolstadt for his help as well (took pics of guys front door!). I think I'll send him an e-mail saying I'm sorry about all the pressure if he really meant to send them in the first place. The headlights are brand new S4 Bi-Xenons by the looks of it and contain all the bulbs. woohoo!

Well the install is *almost* plug and play. Check out the right headlight:

The wiring harness (circle) is 2 inches too far away from the Xenon plug (arrow) which is further to the right compared to my halogen. What the heck to I do? I am about to cut the wires and extend them but that nasty. I am pretty sure I don't want to try to pull the harness. Did anybody else have this problem?

I had to detach two wiring harnesses behind the right headlight to fit it in. They are on top the headlight now:

And yeah, my engine bay is full of grit :/

Default And now you tell me...

I already cut the harness. And what a scuzzy job I made of it. Well, it works just fine and I love the headlights Really bright and the matte interior.

Totally worth it. I'll re-do the wiring properly tomorrow, in fact I'll try make it hard to notice it's been modified. How do you aim these things lower???

It wouldn't surprise me it's the same Andy. Here is the original thread. His replies are there.

Default use the (white-ish - i think) kind of screws that you can access from the top

the headlights are just great... wait until you drive at night in the country-side... i will never be able to go back now...

nah it's not the same Andy... or he has changed his ID...

But I'm not even American. Never mind, so long as it worked.
