Default Has anyone bought and used Ecodes Lightweight flywheel need help quick!!

I had the dealer put Awe-tuning's stage3 clutch in my car, but now dealer is saying they need a flywheel to. The have a stock one ready to go in but its around 800.00 and like 30lbs. But if ecodes flywheel is good, it weighs 11lbs and a couple hundred cheaper.

Is the ecode flywheel the way to go??

TIA
Joe

Default I've heard speculation that it's not good to go below the 11-12 pound area,

but if you've got that transmission apart anyway, you really should put a light weight one in there.

I don't have and have not used the ecode flywheel, but I have heard good things in general about their products and have had good service from david, I'd give him a call.

Default Do not mix and match! Our B6 Stage3 clutch is for use with the OEM flywheel only.

Unless the height of the "Ecode" flywheel is the same as the stock flywheel, you will have engagement issues.

Plus, our Stage3 for OEM flywheel does not have a sprung center since it is made for use with the dual mass OEM flywheel. Using a non-sprung center clutch with a one piece flywheel will make engagement very abrupt.

If the clutch is in new condition still, please contact us and you can send it back to us as a trade-in toward our full clutch/flywheel package.

Default What's wrong with your stock OEM flywheel?

Sounds like they may just be trying to make a few extra bucks. How many miles on your stock one?

You dont want that light of a flywheel unless you like lots of noise and vibration.
