Default Has anyone had or heard of this problem?

I bought my 02 A4 1.8T back in November and hadn't had a single problem until about 5 weeks ago. The problem I've been having is shortly after I start my car and begin driving, the EPC and ESP lights come on simultaneously and the car goes into limp mode. The first few times this happened I could just stop the car, turn it off and then back on again and the problem would go away. But now it happens more frequently and does not go away when the car is turned off and back on and the lights are usually accompanied by the MIL light. I had the car checked out by my dealership (Phil Long in Colorado Springs) a few weeks ago and they determined the problem was due to a faulty accelerator pedal postition sensor. They replaced the sensor last week however the problem reappeared today. I've done no modifications whatsoever to my car so the problem was not self-inflicted. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

In all seriousness... what happenes when the Limp mode happens...

I just got done reading that the 550 Maranello uses only 6 cyl. when its in limp mode...

The engine power is cut by half. It feels like the turbo boost is completely turned off.

So is the zone rep like a lead mechanic or something?

Default Yes. They are in the factory's employee, not the dealer.

They are called in when a dealer can't solve a problem. Since they travel an extensive area, appointments can take a few weeks. In the meantime, have the dealer try to solve it again.
