Has anyone had an issue with the E-Codes being illegal ?

Like being in an accident and it was then your fault because you had no amber in the lights ?
I know it sounds ridiculous, but technically it can happen since they are not DOT apporved.
So has anyone experienced anything like this ?

Another issue is that the beam pattern is different (the e-codes are asymmetric while the US-spec lights are symmetric).
I'm curious if anyone failed a state inspection due to this beam pattern difference. But in FL, they don't even require periodic inspections, do they? :-)

If properly aligned, the e-codes allow you to see the right side of the road better (longer beam) while still not blinding the on-coming traffic.
Are you sure your e-codes were aligned to specs?

the european headlights....
They have a clear corner (ie no amber)
and the frame around the turn blinker is round.
They also have "city lights" as running lights instead of the amber "park lights" we use here in the states...
Here is a close up pic!!!

ecodes generally have a lower cut off point than DOT...plus in low beams I think e codes are more superior than DOT, but in high beams DOT perform better than E-Codes.
