Default That helps a lot - one question though

<center><img src="http://home.earthlink.net/~adg44/VW/Milltek%201.jpg"></center><p>Judging by those pictures, the factory exhaust also just clamps onto the cat?

I need to get this car on a lift and take a look for myself one day.

As you can see on my last car, the exhaust went above the rear beam, which was a true pain in the ***.

Default yeah, heres the set-up... YOu got your turbo, then the cat bolts onto the turbo, then the downpipe

bolts onto the cat... downpipe comes with most cat-back systems for the 1.8t... If you just pop your hood you can see your cat right there next to the turbo, then the downpipe is attached to that... no need to lift it up to see :-)

Ah, did not realize that on this car... on the Golf/Jetta 1.8Ts, the cat isn't bolted to the turbo.

By Center Muffler you are referring to the resonator...
