Default Having GIAC software installed Friday with DV

After that I am going to put the car on the dyno and see what it does. I guess I am a bit uneasy about the dealer thing. At the same time my dealer knows that I take good care of my cars. This is my second Audi from them.

I suppose I can move to the GIAC switching technology in the future. Anyone out there to help me rationalize my decision?

Default No chipswitch yet....

But I would like to add the chipswitch option in the future. Biggest selling point on GIAC was location of dealer (SRS in Walpole) and GIAC is one of the few that actually have software for 2004.

I will post my Dyno after I get the results.

Default you will be very happy with GIAC. look in my pic poster for graph of my dyno run.

it would be best to do a before and after on the same dyno. this way you can see the increase the chip makes. really a better number than what the dyno spits out as WHP. for $50.00 you can get them to socket the chip, and that would allow for a pretty quick change between stock and regular.

Default Never knew we could do the post pic. thing

Dyno looks good. Have you considered the chipswitch option that GIAC offers? I know there were some people not so impressed with the first generation chip switch technology that GIAC had. Not sure if GIAC has made improvements. I am looking forward to having the install done and I will post results end of next week.

Default i would definitely do the GIAC IBE (switch chip)...but i will go APR Stage 3, whenever it is ready.

you are picking the right chip for the right reason. i am lucky enough to have GIAC and APR dealers almost the same distance from me.

you are going to love your chip!
