I absolutely *love* the ride comfort of the 235/45 stock tires...I was even hesistant to go 235/40..
Really I do not want the ride to change at all...not even a little bit. I'm a noise and comfort "****"...I can't stand road noise and I can't stand "feeling" the road through the steeringing wheel and shifter.
Although I've never riden in a car with 35 series tires, people on here have said there was a differance in ride quality, even if it was only slight.

<deep breath>The RS4s are great and you'll love them.
I think they are the best choice as an OE look - I do like the RS6 reps too, however they aren't different enough from the 17 sport <i>stockers</i> for me.
I know I'm getting the 4s - just need to decide on tires now. I'm gonna call achtuning on Monday.
