Default Headlight 2003 Audi A4

Could someone tell me what type of replacement bulb I need to order? All the types I choose from H7 etc?

Default I just bought some for my 03 and they were D1S. They have a square base and....

they're the more expensive ones. The D2S bulbs have a round base. You can't use those. The cheapest place I found was on Amazon but there's someone on these forums that sells them pretty cheap I've heard. Phillips are recommended. I went with some no name brand though.

D1S @ Amazon

Default D1S bulbs, but check to make sure

I know some earlier B6's used D2S.

Was it fairly easy to replace?

Default It's not bad. You just need a long extention in our rachet set to reach the screws..

that loosen the headlight assembly. You have to loosen 3 per light (I think) and you don't totally unscrew them, just loosen them. Then the light will slide right out. Disconnect the wires and pull the bulbs out. They're held in with a metal clip. It's pretty easy. It's just getting to and seeing the screws that could be a pain the first time.

Only on very early B6's maybe, but I'm pretty sure they're all D1S

Look on the top of the headlight assembly, there should be a sticker/label to check for sure.
