Default Heated for driver seat is different to that for front passenger?

03 A4 1.8TQT in Canada, heated front seat is standard. However, feel heated for passenger seat is much slower than that of driver seat and seems only the rear part of the seat is heated.

Anyone has the same feeling?

The seat bottom element may have a break in it, etc. I was in a VW with this - dealer replaced it.

(otherwise, no, the seat heaters should and normally do behave identically)

with seat heaters, never dig sharp objects or rest your weight on your knee on the seats.

Remember, there has to be weight on the seat for the heating elements to actually work.
