Heater Problem

Heater Problem
"In the morning, when cool, the heater blasts cold air when the "lo" temparature is selected and 95 degree air if you move the temp control up to "64". The hot and cold air blasts from face-level vents. If set at "64", after about 15 minutes (if I can stand it) the temperature comes down to some reasonable level."
I plagiarized the above text from a post back in December because this is exactly what my problem is. Since then, nobody seems to have mentioned a fix. Some folks have hinted that there may be a computer progam fix. Has anybody dealt with this problem successfully? I know it is possible to manually fiddle with the controls to manage the temperature but then why are we paying for automatic climate control?

believe it or not, this is "normal".
IMO, the climate control is not the best.
I just aim the center vents away from me. I cannot stand the hot blast either. The temp control seems to work best at either very very cold temperatures (when the hot air is actually appreciated), very hot temperatures (when very cold air is ok) or at steady state.
I wish that at least the temp. setting could go lower than 64.

yup..
the goal is to get the (very buried) sensor to the ckhosen temperature as fast as possible. i set the temp, then reset the fan speed to 2 or 3 bars. i never wanted auto temp control anyway.
