I want to get a deal of 3% over invoice. This comes out to $28,501.

The salesman tells me that a $200 change is added to invoice for advertizing and that a $135 charge for some port fee is added as well. He says they have to pay this.

Is this bull or is it a good deal at $28,836 before taxes, title and reg.

I got mine for $295.00 over invoice the only fee charged on top of it was $20.00 documentation fee.

Tell him to shove the extra fees up there butt. They can't try to make the consumer pay for there extra bs when they know that is what it takes to sell a car. You are not there to pay for advertising, or port charges.

The ad fee applies to urban areas and covers newspaper, TV, radio and magazine ads. 3 to 5% over is plenty good. It is legit. Ask to see the invoice for verification. Dealer cannot show you false invoice as the dealeship could be shut down instantly for showing false invoice.

People who claim less are often hiding special conditions like trade-ins or end of year specials from desperate dealers. Ignore top 10 and bottom 10% of sales claims.
