I have a 03 A4 1.8T Quattro. Im interested in a chip but am having mixed advice. some say go with neuspeed. its cheap and you can go with either the 1.2 or 1.5 bar chips. other hand is revo which is more money. my question is, which will be safest for the life of the turbo and which has the most significant power gains top end? also, i plan on modding the car after the chip. so what kind of performance does the revo chip offer anyway as concerned to boost and horsepower to the wheels. please advise.

Has anyone done a comprehensive chip comparison test? I'm thinking Neuspeed, APR and GIAC right now. I will likely add a K&N and exhaust (later) but not much else.

the more aggressive the chip programming, the more you decrease the life of your turbo.
Also, NS 1.5 bar chip is recommended for a4s with exhaust.

i dont konw much about apr but i know that giac is pushing much more boost than their bar chips are supposed to. Their dyno charts aren't smooth and even spike in some areas. Have you heard of evotek software????
