hi,
i have a 2002 A4 1.8T (5spd) and the front left wheel will squeak/squeal at most times while at lower speeds. It does not make a noise while breaking but i can cause it to always make a noise when i turn the wheel slightly to the left (like 15 degs, sometimes to the right) while driving level with or w/o light acceleration at 15-20mph. It doesn't always go away with speed, but is hard to hear at higher levels.
I've heard that it could just be the CV boot rubbing, CV boot torn, CV joint or just the brake pads vibrating. I don't see any excess grease or lube leaking from the CV boot and the pads still have plenty of pad left.
Has anyone else experienced this, or know what it could be? I've owned the car for 2 yrs and this is my first "issue", i'd like to fix it myself (no money) but don't have much experience. Thanks!
Eric
