Get the updated breather hose from Audi. It's a much better design than what was in my 02. $12 if you want to install it yourself, or covered by warranty (you have to leave it with them). Can be a pain in the *** to put on, especially when hot. Definitely wait until your car is cold to make the switch and watch out not to get much of the built up gunk falling back into the open hole.
