'cause I listened to a (mechanic) buddie's advice and he told me I wouldn't need to upgrade them... dumba$$! Which shocks and struts go best with the Eibach springs? TIA

there is an ongoing debate in regards to the feasibility of springs only upgrade.
if you have not sport suspension, it prolly would be wise to updgrade yer shox, to some that can handle a higher compressed spring. it is not the end of the world even with bone stock shox - springs like eilbach are made to very very high tolerances - the ride may be a bit rough and bumpy, but no major issues.
but if you have sport suspension, there is absolutely nothing wrong imho, with going springs only. aftermarket and sport sus. springs are only 1/2 to 3/4 inch off, so the difference in load on a shox, is nominal.
is it better to do the whole suspension, sure, but it aint a crime to just lower yer car via springs.
