HELP!! Should I buy from this guy?........

I e-mailed him and he told me he still has one more set that he can sell me. I am guessing that he will be selling it for the same price (US$1,399) + shipping (US$250).
Do you guys think it is safe to buy from this guy? The price seems to be extermely low compared to the price from CEC. But the ratings that he is getting seems to be good.
What should I be cautious about?
Should I tell him to list this item on eBay again so I can go through eBay to buy it? Or should I just buy it from him directly?
Should I use an escrow service?
If you were me, would you buy from him?
I've never used eBay before, any input is greatly appreciated.
