On the way home from work tonight I caught the edge of the road while trying to avoid some tire in the main road. When I came back on the road my transmission started slipping. It went into limp mode and in a few miles the check engine light came on and the car would not move. There was a lot of transmission fluid on the road.
I pulled the codes, I got:
17125 - Torque Converter Clutch: Stuck OFF / No Power being transferred
P0741 - 003 - Mechanical Failure
17119 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
P0735 - 003 - Please Register/Activate
17195 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
P0811 - 003 - Please Register/Activate
17114 - Gear Ratio Monitoring: Incorrect Gear Ratio
P0730 - 003 - Mechanical Failure
What do you think I am looking at? I am not sure if I tore something loose underneath or it just blew. I had it towed to a shop, but trying to get a feel for what I am dealing with here. 88k miles on a 2004 A4
TIA

Turned out to be a cooler hose came off. Reason why? It was missing a bolt. I picked the car up from the shop last Friday after having the fan control module replaced along with both fans. Of course they denied that they had anything to do with the missing bolt on the transmission line.
They have it now, just waiting on an evaluation to see if the tranny is toast. I was stupid, after it went into limp mode I should have pulled over, but didn't, figured it was electrical. I drove it maybe 5-10 miles before it wouldn't go so I am a bit nervous.
Any opinions are appreciated. (other than the one that I am an idiot..I already know that!)

They said they checked the tranny but when I got it back it was slipping a bit. It slipped a bit for a while and then went into limp mode. I could clear the code with Vag Com and it would come back. Every 10 miles at first, now almost immediately. I drove to the airport and home and it slipped a few miles, then I drove to work this morning 60 miles, and on the way home it really got bad. So total of maybe 150 miles since having it at the dealer.
Code being thrown is: 17119 P0735-003 mechanical failure.
Any suggestions on what to do now? I am tempted to drive it in 4th gear and trade it in on a new one.

No experience with automatics except on my 65 Ford which I have had no issues with. The other 4 cars I have onwed have been manuals. I would only recommend you start simple (control valves, etc) before dooming the torque converter or whole tranny.
