Default Help- Windshield wiper fluid is not spraying...

When the temperature dropped down to 15F degree, my windshield wiper fluid stopped working. Likewise, the headlight washer is not working. Any idea as to how to solve this problem? Thanks for your input.

first check the fuses... 15 degrees isn't nearly cold enough to coagulate the fluid

Default Probably the fuse. I had the fluid freeze in the pipes and then when I tried to use it

the fuse blew.

Default I have the same issue, but both my wiper-related fuses are intact....m..

I also got the car warm over night and that didn't help, made sure the reservoir was filled with fresh RainX fluid. My wipers still work, so the stalk seems to work OK. I also checked that when I turned it on, a puddle didn't form under the car.

I don't know where the pump is actually located, I may try to put 12V on it and see if it does anything. Otherwise, unless a hose is kinked, and I doubt it, I'm leaning towards the pump. It's just a pain getting into a dealer.

Default Had fuse blow once too....please read.

Seems that the pop up headlight washers sometimes freeze in place (covers to the bumper probably) Those sprayer pop up under fluid pressure. It seems that wehn they freeze in place, the pump works extra hard tying to pop those suckers up and blows a fuse because it draws too much current.
Now this is a theory, but a few others seem to have seen similar behavior. I try to avoid using the headlight sprayers when I know I have an ice encrusted front bumper.

Default I had the same problem last week while I was up in Tahoe... I was just out of fluid.

But the fluid sensor never went off. I took it in for service last week and they said they drained the washer fluid out and the sensor went off so everything was working how it should have been.

Maybe it was just something with the cold, not sure, but my gremlin went away for now.

Thanks guys. I checked and indeed it was just the fuse.

And if your moonroof is open (summer time), you'll get sprayed yourself!
