Hesitation... normal or something to get looked at?

Hesitation... normal or something to get looked at?
I have a 3.0 manual and it seems that whenever I floor it in first gear and bring the revs up to around 6500, when I shift to second the car hesitates. It's only for a moment, but immediately after shifting and after I reapply the gas, my car bogs for half a second or so and then it takes off. This seems abnormal to me. Anybody else with a 3.0 manual care to comment? Please?

Re: Hesitation... normal or something to get looked at?
My car 'misses' briefly when i'm in 2nd gear with low revs, and I accelerate. It too doesn't seem to be as peppy as it was when I took delivery. I'm considering taking it in to the dealer.

6500 is the Redline. Could be the Rev Limiter. Try going to 6300 and see if you get the same problem. I shift at 6200 with no hesitation in my 3.0

I was thinking the same thing since I don't usually look at the tach
I typically go by the feel of the car/engine when I'm shifting. I'll have to try shifting a little earlier and see if I still experience this. Thx
