Default Hesitation while driving

Has anyone experienced this before or know what might be causing it?

I have noticed over the past few weeks that my car does a little hesitation every once in awhile while I am driving (I am already in gear at this point, but accelerating.) It is really brief...like a second. Today, I was pulling out at a light and going from first to second, my car totally lost power as I was shifting...I was not able to get it to accelerate at all, even though I tried shifting back to first and then back to second...finally, after about 5 seconds, it picked up power again and was fine after that.

I have had all my coil packs replaced back when the recall happened...I did have a coil pack failure and this feels different. Could this be a clutch problem? My car ony has about 68K. It is a 2002 A4 5-speed with no chip.

Thanks for any insight.

When did you last change your plugs and air filter?

Fuel filter? I had similar symptoms in my old truck and that was the problem.

Could be a sticky throttle plate.

Default My guess...bad fuel.

I had the same thing - problem vanished with the regular use of Fuel Power (FP60).
