What kind of times are you seeing from your turbo swap upgrades?
I know there are a few b5/a4 guys who are running in the low 12's/high 11's....
right now i have a k04'd A6, and it runs really well. I may have to be selling soon however, and was thinking about getting an A4 to replace it with for now. Im going to miss the 6-speed though :-\
How strong are these 1.8t engines, im only familiar with the 2.7t engines right now. If you upgrade the turbos, is there a lot of other hardware that needs upgraded too?
Also, have you guys had a lot of syncro problems with the transmission? Its a very common problem on the b5/s4 so i was just wondering.
Id appreciate any help you could give, as well as some pics of the nicer looking black wagons' on board here!! thanks!!!

Coming fromt he land of the B5...the 1.8T with the PES kit or APR kit will run mid 13's on pump, high 12s are attainable on race fuel.
Guys dipping into the low 12s and such are doing a little extra work above and beyond the "kits."
The 1.8T is a rock, but it won't have the pull of the 2.7T unless you put in a big turbo and such.
Kits include: Turbo, manifold, injectors, plugs, hoses, programming. That's basically it.

but i do love the sound of the 2.7t which i have now.
Do you know of those on these boards who are getting low 12's in their b6 a4 ?
i do know that tuning this car is probably much easier/cheaper than the 2.7t, with there being more room and amore accessible turbo.

And she know's her stuff on the A4s as well.
Also, Jet Jockey / A4 Pilot is running MTM stage 2 with a chip, injectors, and exhaust. He may have knowledge on those turbo upgrades.

Just had 1st and 2nd gear and all the synchros replaced by the dealer on my '02 1.8. Took it for an oil change, mentioned that it was hard to shift and notchy. I'm wondering if there isn't a secret tsb about this problem with the 5spd tranny. The notchy tranny is mentioned with some frequency on this forumn. BTW it didn't seem to help.
