Hey, what does the term... "flash the chip" in the ecu mean?

I always read about how vag-com can't roll back a electronic odometer or flash the chip on the ecu....

Well, I have never driven one with sport pkg. but I like the way my car feels right now

It means it can only read the chip, not write to it.

Audi can under special circumstances, wipe out all the old programming ( even if chipped ), and write over the old programming with new information.

If you flash a chip you overwrite all software stored on with a new program
