It's a very consistent hissing sound. Nothing else.
And it doesn't change as I accelerate or slow down.

Do you think that is something that need immediate attention?
I mean, assuming that it is the fuel pump, can I still drive the car for a few days before getting fixed?

Usually when the fuel pump is whining it means that either it's about to fail or
the fuel filter is clogged.
There's no way of knowing when it will fail. In my case my fuel pump failed after about 5 minutes of whining. However it is entirely possible for it to last another several weeks/months/years.
If I were you I'd change the fuel filter asap. Usually that solves the problem/noise.
