The smell goes away after about 30 seconds. It seems to be coming from the vents as they blow air into the passenger compartment.
And it only seems to happen when I'm leaving from home in the mornings. When I leave from work, I don't get the smell. Both locations are underground parking garages with no obvious smells or source of smells. Weird.
And no, I don't normally drive like a madman. At least, I have only actually burnt the clutch a couple of times (and it was really obvious then).
Any guesses as to what might be causing the smell? Is it possible to burn the clutch and not know it / smell it until the next morning?
