Oh, you just had a timing belt done. Oh yeah, shop should take of that. A bit sloppy on their part to a) not admit to breaking a 50 cent part and just fixing it or b) calling you as they were disassembling and tell you it was broken. Hope they make it good for you.

It's not even worth the aggravation of going back to the shop. Any auto parts store will have one of those "y" connectors for a buck or two. You can buy it and replace it in less than the amount of time needed to complain.
