If it's teh same as manual, is that mean you have to shift the gear up everytime the needle almost reached redline?

Or is it just like TIPTRONIC, automatic. jsut put it on D and it will change gears automatically for u from 1-5 or someting like that?
more like BMW's STEPTRONIC?

all you do is plant your foot, it doesnt shift gears, or rather, it shifts infinitely.

Hence you get the speed and fuel economy of a manual and a smoother ride than an s-class mercedes(at least with the gearbox)

Put it into "D" and drive same as any automatic. Tip only if you want.

There is an infinite number of gears and they are always changing. When you use the tip mode your just using pre-set ratios, but you will get WORSE MPG, WORSE 0 - 60 or any acceleration etc...

I don't know why they included it to be honest. I just cause the public can't deal with such a big change. Big smart, let the car do the thinking. Youll go faster and save gas.

the driver wants to choose a ratio and keep it there... its all about the ability to choose, just in case a situation arises .
But most importantly for fun... you can say, hey, Ive got a 6 speed tiptronic, look at me... NYA NYA NYA , looooooooook... *slips the gear into the slot*

How kewl is that?!!!
