Default Probably not the most scientific approach

but try putting the car in 5th gear. Give the car lots of gas and slowly let the clutch out. If the clutch is still good, it should stall immediately no matter how much gas you give it. If the revs climb, you may have a slipping clutch.

Default I'll keep you posted

My car is at New Country (Old Habits?) Audi right now for the exact same problem. I am fairly confident on the failed-clutch diagnosis, but we'll see. How many miles do you have?

I did this, and passed with flying colors (stalled). I'm no longer thinking my clutch is fried.
