how do you manage to get an "engine overspped-warranty voided" code on a tiptronic?

transmission has nothing to do with engine over rev'ing....
I think that's what that code refers too, not the vehicle speed....and you get that by using a chip that raises the Max RPM setting.

I got APR and I believe the RPM limit is raised a little. that or my friend's VAG mod raised mine. If there is that code where is it? I've VAG'd my car before and I've never seen that code.

You are correct. A Tiptronic should up shift and downshift without over revving...
Maybe there was a malfunction of some sort that allowed a slight over speed. You can clear the fault with a Vag-Com.

but since we're on the topic of VAG and engine junk...
My car CEL went on. Solid light, any idea what is probably the most likely problem? I know that there's a million, but if its a solid CEL and it goes off like a couple miles later what would/could it be? I'm curious what everyone's most common CEL problem has been.
