Default How easy/hard is it to replace the throwout bearing?...

Is it essentially the same as replacing the clutch?

Default Very easy. Drop off the car at the dealer, pick up in 2 days.

Warranty FTW.

Will they cover it past the 50K mile mark? I have 75K.

My guess is clutch related items aren't covered under CPO, but might be under factory/ext. warranty?

Default Right now I have a rattle that I suspect might be the throwout bearing going...

It only rattles when the clutch is out(foot off of the clutch). If I push the clutch in, it goes away. So if it does not rattle when it is under a load, does that mean I still have alot of time left before it fails on me?

Default Does the rattle occur only in neutral with the clutch pedal released, or also ..

with the trans in gear with the pedal released?
